The Gate closed behind them forever and is blocked for us all, internally, in the deeper sense. In general terms, this Gate also defines the consciousness of humanity in terms of that which preceeded to that which followed the Shoah. The knowledge of th Shoah has changed the collective conscience in the same way that every new chemical element added to a mixture changes it. The very occurrence of the Shoah proves the feasibility of its reality. Irrevocable wholesale death cruelly demonstrated by the one-way direction of time, a lesson we must never forget.
The past must be remembered, but whoever attempts to ignore the definitive direction of time and the entailing irrevocable nature of change, treads in a puddle of fundamentalist hallucinations that continues to threaten our world from countless directions.
